James R. Ballavance

Mr. Ballavance inducted into the Army on September 1, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Biwabik, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and a cook with Company B of the 159th Infantry Regiment in the Aleutian Islands and Pacific Theater.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal with one bronze star, American Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.

Mr. Ballavance was honorably discharged on December 11, 1945, at Fort Ord, California.
