ANNALA, John
John Annala was born on December 12th 1900 to Gabriel & Mary Josephine [Ikola] Annala in Finland. The family emmigrated to northern Minnesota.
Mr. Annala entered the U.S. Army on August 3rd 1942.
He served with the Headquarters Detachment of the 1851st Unit and Eighth Service Command Unit. He rose to the rank of as a Technician Fifth Grade (TEC5).
He was honorably discharged on April 21st 1943, at HQ Third Army, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. After the war he returned home and married Florence [Johnson] on November 6th 1965 and they raised a family.
Mr. Annala died on November 22nd 1983 at 82 years of age. He is buried at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
