John Anton Longar

John Anton Longar of Eveleth, Minnesota was inducted on January 22, 1943.

He was a Private First Class and an auto mechanic with the 6800 Headquarters Company Special Troops in Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.

He received the: Good Conduct Medal and European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars.

He was honorably discharged on November 17, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
