John Dyshen Braiovich

Mr. Braiovich entered the Navy. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Radioman Second Class aboard the destroyer USS Sims, which was sunk during the Coral Sea engagement on May 4, 1942.

He was reported missing and declared dead by the U.S. War Department.

Mr. Braiovich was awarded the following: Purple Heart (posthumous award), Combat Action Ribbon, and Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal.
