John E. Autio

Mr. Autio inducted into the Army on May 19, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Orr, Minnesota.

He served as a motor transportation Corporal with Battery A of the 776th Anti-Aircraft Weapons Battalion in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.

He received the following: Croix de Guerre from Belgium, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, and three overseas service bars.

Mr. Autio was honorably discharged on December 1, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
