John J. Carr

John J. Carr of Eveleth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on July 25, 1942.

He was a technician 5th grade and a surgical technician with the Medical Detachment, 311th Infantry Regiment, 76th Infantry Division, serving in the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.

He was wounded in action on April 12, 1945.

He received the:
Purple Heart,
Bronze Star,
Good Conduct Medal,
American Campaign Service Medal,
European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal
and two overseas service bars.

He was discharged on Dec. 10, 1945.
