John J. Zallar

John J. Zallar entered the Army on September 8, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Private and radio operator with Battery B of the 243rd Antiaircraft Artillery Searchlight Battalion in the Central Pacific.

He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and one overseas service bar.

Mr. Zallar was honorably discharged on February 4, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
