LANDSTROM, John Jacob

John Jacob Landstrom was born on March 22nd 1914 to Charles Gustav & Clara Olafsson Landstrom in Duluth, Minnesota.

Mr. Landstrom of Duluth entered active Federal service on May 8th 1944 during WWII. Before heading off to war he married Katherine Jeanette [Finn].

He served aboard the USS Card (CVE-11) and on the USS Paducah (PG-18)  as well as mail carrier with the Fleet Post Offices in San Francisco and Guam. He rose to the rank of Mailman 2nd Class (MAM2/c).

He was honorably discharged on November 30th 1945 at Minneapolis, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Mr. Landstrom died on November 7th 1996 at 82 years of age. He is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Duluth.
