John M. Johnson

John M. Johnson of Floodwood entered the Army on March 12, 1941 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He was a Technician 5th Grade and radio operator with the Eighth FOB and Troop C of the 125th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron in France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany.

Mr. Johnson received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on October 31, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
