John Maras

John Maras entered the Army on September 6, 1940, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Sergeant in the continental U.S., and was honorably discharged September 25, 1943, at Charleston, South Carolina.

He was later inducted into the Army on March 8, 1945, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

He served as a Private and military policeman.

Mr. Maras was awarded the  World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on August 21, 1946, at Fort Sheridan, Illinois.
