John Marolt

John T. Marolt of Gilbert, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on May 9, 1941.

He was a Technical Sergeant with Headquarters and Service Company, 85th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron Mechanized, serving in northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.

Mr. Marolt was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with a silver battle stars (denoting five campaigns), American Defense Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.

He was discharged on Oct. 21, 1945, Camp McCoy, Wis.
