John Pollar

John Pollar of Hibbing, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Aug. 1, 1942.

He was a Private and a radio operator with the 516th Corps 3116th Signal Service Battalion RM in the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Pollar received the: Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Service Unit Award, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal, American Campaign Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was discharged on Feb. 11, 1946.
