John A. Sterle

John A. Sterle was inducted into the Army on April 30, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.  Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Private and butcher with the Seventh Station Hospital in Naples-Foggia and Rome-Arno, Italy.

He was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, European-American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and four overseas service bars.

Mr. Sterle was honorably discharged on November 18, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
