John Tanko

John Tanko enlisted in the Regular Navy on February 2, 1945. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

Mr. Tanko served as a Seaman First Class aboard the USS Abbot and USS Hale in the Pacific Theater.

He was awarded the following: American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, and World War II Victory Medal.

Mr. Tanko was honorably discharged November 6, 1946, in San Diego, California.
