John W. Folman

John W. Folman of Brittmount, Minn. was inducted into the Army on April 23, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn. 

He served as a Technician 5th Grade and radio operator with the 464th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion in the Pacific Theater, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was wounded in action in Europe in 1945.

Mr. Folman was awarded the Purple Heart, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with bronze arrowhead, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal and one overseas service bar.

He was honorably discharged on Jan. 30, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
