John W. Longtine served in World War II in the U.S. Navy from May 17, 1945, until July 21, 1948.

His assignments were as follows: Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois; Hospital Corps School, San Diego, California; Pennsylvania School for Nursing, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; St. Elizabeth Hospital, Washington, D.C.; and National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland.

His rank was Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class.

Mr. Longtine was born on July 22, 192_, in Superior, Wisconsin, the son of Percy J. and Edna S. Longtine.

He was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
