Joseph Babich

Mr. Babich inducted into the Army Air Corps at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota.

He served as a Corporal and surgical technician at Beaumont General Hospital.  He was assigned to the U.S. Army Air Force in Great Yeldam, England, in June 1943.  He conducted air offensives over Europe, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, Southern France and Central Europe.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with seven bronze battle stars, and four overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on October 9, 1945, at Sioux Falls, Iowa.
