Joseph E. Siskar entered the Army on Janunary  21, 1942. Home at entry: McKinley, Minnesota.

He served as a Sergeant and construction foreman with the Corps of Engineers. He built and repaired bridges under combat conditions in New Guinea, Hollandia, Lingayen Gulf, and Luzon, Philippines.

He was discharged on December 6, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Minnesota.
