Joseph Frank Ostervich

Joseph Frank Ostervich was inducted into the Army on July 21, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Sergeant and truck driver with Battery B of the 211th Antiaircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion in Southern Philippines (Liberation).

Mr.Ostervich was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal, Philippines Liberation Medal and four overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on January 3, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
