Joseph Johnstone of Duluth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on September 16, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He was a Sergeant and utilities NCO in maintenance of utilities installations such as light, power and water supplies in the European Theater (England).

Mr. Johnstone received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and four overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on December 30, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
