Joseph Peter Mehle, Jr. of Chisholm, Minnesota was inducted into the Naval Reserve on July 7, 1942.
He was a Signalman 2nd Class on the SS Pan Amoco, AGC Nola, SS Colabe and SS Jonathan Grout in the European and Pacific Theaters.
Mr. Mehle received the: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal, American Campaign Service Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
He was discharged on December 5, 1945.
