Joseph Pernat

Joseph Pernat was inducted into the Army on March 12, 1941.

He was a Private and a gunner with the Service Battery, 283rd Field Artillery Battalion, serving in northern France, the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.

Mr. Pernat received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with five bronze battle stars, American Defense Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.

He was discharged on Sept. 17, 1945.
