Joseph R. Rowley

Joseph R. Rowley was inducted into the Army on Feb. 20, 1941.

He was a Private First Class and switchboard operator with the 239th Signal Operations Company in Algeria, Tunisia, North Africa; Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Italy; Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Rowley received the: Meritorious Service Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with 1 silver and 1 bronze star (6 campaigns), American Defense Service Medal, with 5 Overseas Service Bars.

He was discharged on July 24, 1945.
