Joseph A. Sametz

Mr. Joseph A. Sametz entered into the Army on December 7, 1943, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fifth Grade and portable power generator operator with Headquarters Company in the South Pacific Base Command.

Mr. Sametz was awarded with the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged January 7, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
