Joseph Vidmar was inducted into the Army on July 2, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

Mr. Vidmar served as a Sergeant and truck driver with Company L of the 121st Infantry Regiment in Rome-Arno, Italy; Southern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

He was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on October 27, 1945, at Fort Francis E. Warren, Wyoming.
