Julius D. Fiola of Mountain Iron, Minn was inducted into the Army on July 21, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn. 

He was a Private First Class and heavy mortarman with Company D of the 362nd Infantry Regt. in Rome-Arno, North Apennines and Po Valley, Italy.

Mr. Fiola was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on Nov. 10, 1945 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
