Kenneth G. Simon

Kenneth G. Simon entered the Army on July 20, 1944, at  Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Meadowlands, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fourth Grade and radio operator with Company K of the 358th Infantry Regiment of the 90th Infantry Division in Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

Mr. Simon shared the following: "Joined the regiment at Bastogne. After VE day I was assigned to 42nd Constabulary Squadron."

He received the following: Bronze Star, Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Germany), and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on June 18, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
