Kenneth Lloyd Erickson

Kenneth Lloyd Erickson entered the Army May 26, 1943.

He served as a Technician 5th Grade and combat surgical technician with the 50th Field Hospital of the 101st Airborne Infantry Division in the European Theater.

One June 6, 1944, D-Day, he participated in a glider landing in Holland with the 101st Airborne in "Operation Market Garden" and served with them through the Battle of the Bulge. He was surrounded by Germans for two weeks until the British came up from Belgium.

Mr. Erickson was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Medical Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with bronze battle stars and bronze arrowhead, World War II Victory Medal and Glider Badge.

He was honorably discharged September 11, 1946
