Lauri P. Sainio

Lauri P. Sainio was inducted into the Army Air Corps on September 10, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota. 

He served as a Private and a truck driver with the 1534th Army Air Forces Base Unit Pacific Division, in the Air Transport Command.

He was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and one overseas service bar.

He was honorably discharged on January 12, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
