Lawrence H. Schultz entered the Army in July of 1942.

He served as a Private and cannoneer with the 72nd Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion in Tunisia, North Africa; Anzio (invasion), Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Italy; Southern France and Germany.

He was awarded the following: European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with six bronze battle stars and Bronze Arrowhead.

He was discharged on May 28, 1945.
