Levio Angelo of Virginia was inducted into the Army on Aug. 26, 1942. He was a private first class and an ammunition handler with Cannon Company, 126th Infantry Regiment in New Guinea and the liberation of the Philippines. He received the Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Service Arrowhead, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal and five overseas service bars. He was discharged on Nov. 9, 1945.
