Lloyd E. Sakrison entered the Army on June 17, 1944, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota.

He served as a Private and radar operator with Company C of the 52nd Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion in the continental United States.

He recalls; "I served in this capacity until released from active duty to return to Lockheed to work in the research division of Plastic Tooling to develop the first disposable wing tip tank for the P-80 and other plastic research. In June 1944, I was returned to active duty and sent to Company D of the Casual Battalion IARTC at Fort Bliss, Texas." 

He was discharged on February 16, 1945 at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
