Lloyd G. Swanson

Lloyd G. Swanson  was inducted into the Army on January 16, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fifth Grade and truck driver with Company A of the 436th Signal Service Battalion in Papua New Guinea, and Luzon in the Pacific.

Mr. Swanson was awarded the following: Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and five overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on June 21, 1945, at Fort Sheridan, Illinois.
