Lloyd K. Anderson

Lloyd K. Anderson served in World War II in the South Pacific.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces from June 20, 1946, to November 24, 1947. He was assigned to the 42nd Engineers and served for two years.

After the war, Mr. Anderson joined the U.S. Naval Reserve, where he was part of a Construction Brigade (Seabee) for fourteen years.

Mr. Anderson’s rank was E-8.

He is decorated with three commendation medals.

Mr. Anderson was born in 1922 in Foster, Minnesota, to Arthur and Alma Anderson.

Lloyd Anderson was born on April 15th, 1922, in Foston, Minnesota, to Arthur and Alma Anderson. Mr. Anderson joined the service on June 20th, 1946, and served as part of the occupation force in the South Pacific after WWII. He served for two years with the 42nd Army Engineers and fourteen years in the Navy Reserve as a Seabee, or frontline construction worker. Mr. Anderson also served in the Air Force. He was awarded three commendation medals before being discharged from the military on November 24th, 1947.
