Lorraine A. Wozniak (nee Robitaille)

Lorraine A. Wozniak (nee Robitaille) enlisted in the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps (WAAC) on October 14, 1942 and vacated on August 5, 1943.  She joined the Woman's Army Corps on August 6, 1943, at Norfolk, Virginia.  Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.

Mrs. Wozniak served as a Staff Sergeant and chief telephone operator in England; France on D-plus-38 to set up and operate the signal corps message center of the 3341st WAC Signal Service Battalion; and in Germany. 

She was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal (for work during Potsdam Conference in Berlin), and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star.

Mrs. Wozniak was honorably discharged on October 14, 1945, at Fort Des Moines, Iowa.
