Mr. Anderson inducted into the Army on May 28, 1943, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Eveleth, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fourth Grade, light truck driver, and station operator with the 1376th Engineer Petroleum Distribution Company in Northern France.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on April 1, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
