Louis J Charon

Louis J. Charon of Cloquet, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Jan. 29, 1942.

He was a private first class and a parachute infantryman and an instrument operator with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry, serving in North Africa and Sicily.

He was wounded in action by a land mine in Sicily.

He won the:

Purple Heart,
Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal
American Campaign Service Medal.

He was discharged on March 28, 1944.
