Marvin D. Harris

Marvin D. Harris was inducted into the Army on March 25, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Private First Class and truck driver-rifleman in the 505th Airborne Infantry of the 82nd Airborne Division in Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

He was wounded in action June 8, 1945.

He was awarded the Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars and bronze arrowhead, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged Jan. 13, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
