Marvin J. Swanson

Marvin J. Swanson entered the Marine Corps on January 4, 1942.

Mr. Swanson served as a Technical Sergeant and radio chief with Headquarters of the Second Battalion of the First Regiment, and First Marine Division in the Pacific Theater.

He participated in the initial landing on Guadalcanal on August 22, 1942; and Cape Gloucester, New Britain, on December 26, 1943.

Mr. Swanson was discharged on August 29, 1945.
