Matthew A. Preshiven of Keewatin, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Oct. 12, 1942.

He was a Staff Sergeant and an auto mechanic with the 3124th Signal Service Company in the Rhineland.

Mr. Preshiven received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal, American Campaign Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was discharged on March 23, 1946.
