Maurice L. Rule

Maurice Rule was inducted into the Army on February 16, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

He served as a Corporal and rifleman with Headquarters Company of the First Battalion of the 127th Infantry Regiment in the Pacific Campaign and New Guinea Campaign. He was wounded in action in New Guinea on June 21, 1944.

Mr. Rule was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, and the World War II Victory Medal.

He received a disability discharge on June 19, 1945 at the Percy Jones Hospital Center in Fort Custer, Michigan.
