Michael Marincel

Michael A. Marincel of Mountain Iron was inducted into the Army on April 24, 1942.

He was a Sergeant and a section chief with Battery C, 500th Armored Field Artillery, 14th Armored Division, 7th Army in Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Marincel was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and two overseas service bars.

He liberated his brother-in-law from the POW camp at Moosberg, Germany, and liberated Dachau concentration camp.

He was honorably discharged February 14, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
