Michael P. Furin

Michael Patrick Furin of Hibbing, Minnesota entered the Army on May 28, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Corporal and a gun crewman with Battery C, 316th Field Artillery Battalion, serving in the Eastern U.S. Mandates and South Philippines.

Mr. Furin was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with bronze arrowhead, American Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged in January 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
