BECONOVICH, Mike

Mike Beconovich was born on August 18th 1922 to John & Stana [Raskovich] Beconovich in Buhl, Minnesota.

Mr. Beconovich enlisted in the U.S. Army on December 2nd 1942. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a airborne artillery gunner with the 464th Parachute Field Artillery in Iceland and Rhineland. He rose to the rank of Private First Class (PFC).

PFC Beconovich had to be hospitalized in Septemebr of 1945 at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri.

He was honorably discharged on November 9th 1946. After the war he returned home and married Eraine Mae [Paradia] on November 10th 1945 and they started a family.

Mr. Beconovich died on June 5th 1999 at 76 years of age in Hiibbing, Minnesota. He is buried at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
