SWENSON, Milo Raymond

Milo Raymond Swenson was born on November 4th 1920 to Raymond & Cecelia [Voss] Swenson in Monterey, Minnesota. The family later moved to Duluth.

Mr. Swenson entered the Navy May 9th 1944. He served on the USS Camelian (PY-19) and (PC-575) during WWII. He rose to the rank of  Quartermaster 3rd Class (QM3/c).

Quartermaster Swenson was honorably discharged from WWIi on February 19th 1946. He re-enlisted in the Navy on September 15th 1950 to serve in the Korean War. He was discharged again on November 30th 1950.

After the war he married Shirley Delores and they started a family. He died on October 21st 1990 at the age of 71. He was buried at Sunrise Meorial Cemetery in Hermantown, Minnesota.
