Niilo H. Penttla

Niilo H. Penttla of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Feb. 27, 1943.

He was a Staff Sergeant and a clerk-typist with the 371st Medical Comp Unit, involved in malaria control in the China-Burma-India Theater.

Mr. Penttla received the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal, American Campaign Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He was discharged on May 14, 1946.
