Norman Hanson was inducted into the Army Air Corps on February 10, 1941 at Duluth, Minn.

He served as a Staff Sergeant and airplane maintenance technician in the 429th Fighter Squadron, Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe, Air Offensive Europe.

Mr. Hanson was awarded the Distinguished Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, American Defense Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and six overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged October 10, 1945 at Fort Sheridan, Ill.
