LAAKKONEN, Oiva Emil

Oiva Emil Laakkonen was born on June 16th 1920 to Matt Henrikinpoika & Alina [Henrickson]  Laakkonen in Alango, Minnesota.

Mr. Laakkonen entered the Army in 1942. He was assigned Company B, 63rd Infantry, 6th Division during World War II 

He rose to the rank of Private First Class.

He died in service in Fort Leonard Wood in Pulaski, Missouri on March 14th 1942. He is buried at Idington Cemetery in Angora, Minnesota.
