Omer L. Violette

Omer L. Violette enlisted in the Naval Reserve on February 15, 1944.

Mr. Violette served as a Yeoman Second Class aboard the aircraft carrier USS Belleau Wood (CVL 24) in the Pacific Theater.

He was awarded the following: American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with nine bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal with two bronze stars.

Mr. Violette was honorably discharged on May 18, 1946, in San Pedro, California.
