Patrick A. Collyard was inducted into the Army on Feb. 27, 1941.

He served at the rank of technician 4th grade as a warehouse foreman with the 340th Ordnance Depot Company at Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and other locations in Central Europe.

His awards include the:

Good Conduct Medal,
European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with five bronze battle stars,
American Defense Service Medal,
and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on Oct. 8, 1945.
